(from Richard Shindle) George operated a stage coach route in the Shenandoah Valley. During this time he was living in Rockbridge Co., VA. Because of his destitute circumstances in 1832, through the assistance of James Hall of Rockbridge Co., he was enabled to return to Frederick Co., VA with his wife and children. He was living in Rockingham Co., VA for the 1840 and 1850 census, and by 1855 had moved to Bullitt Co., KY. During the Civil War he moved once again to New Martinsville, WV on the Ohio River. In the 1860 census for Bullitt Co., KY he was listed as a laborer and miller.
