It is unknown at this time why in some early records, he was known as King Solomon Schambach and later Charles Herman Augustus Schambach. His first wife was listed by herself with her children in 1880. She re-married to John Neighbors 10/3/1880 in Franklin Co., AR, but apparently re-married her first husband in 1885.

His obituary reads as follows:

C. H. Schambach, an old and respected citizen of the Blue Valley, died at his home, 7412 East 15th Street, March 5. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mae Schambach; three sons, Arthur J. Schambach, 1614 Kensington; Claude Schambach and Edmund Schambach, both of the home; a daughter, Mrs. T. A. Stoneberger, 2508 Park, Kansas City, Kas.; a brother, Luther Schambach, 5200 Prospect; and one sister, Mrs. J. D. Worley, Moline, MO. The funeral was at 2 o'clock Friday at the Rose Chapel. Burial was in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
