This is the famous "Uncle George Switzer", a very statly man that accomplished much in his life time. Bishop of Methodist Church, PhD., PBK, Who's/Who, on and on. When said something, the family (Darby's and Switzer) jumped. He ran Battleground and the church council like they were his. A very important person......(note) I, Darby Hadley, Saw Uncle George die. I was on my way to the village, he waived to me and then slumped down in the chair. I was 8 years old, remember it very well. I called Aund Lide, but he was dead. First person I ever saw die! They were the last of the 1800's long skirts and HI collars.

George & Lida are buried in Montmorenci Cemetery in Tippecanoe Co., IN
